A favourite retreat centre is Queen’s House in Saskatoon. Part of it may be due to the fact that we have the opportunity to visit with family as well as delight in the beauty of the vast sweep of the Saskatchewan horizon. Queen’s House is nestled along the North Saskatchewan river on the west side of the city. It is large enough to house, if necessary, more than one group at a time. The rooms are bright and spacious and there is a wonderful sense of peacefulness, both in the house as well as on the grounds. It becomes very apparent upon arriving that an artist has had her influence on the art that is on the walls as well as the colour schemes. The kitchen serves wonderful food and is known to put out oatmeal raisin cookies for those who like to munch during the evening. There is an excellent offering of programmes throughout the year. Over the years we have offered retreats here and have enjoyed the warm hospitality and excellent facilities. It is not unusual to meet people from across Canada and the United States. We would suggest that you view their programme guide online at www.queenshouse.org.
